Apple ranks no.1 in the American Customer Satisfaction Index in 2022, second year in a row

A new computer market study “The American Customer Satisfaction Index” (ACSI) reveals that Apple continues to lead the personal computers market in the United States in 2022.

In 2021, Apple scored 82 on the American customer satisfaction index and the tech giant achieved the same score this year in competition with Samsung, Acer, Amazon, Asus, Dell, and other third-party computers.

Apple’s competitors like Samsung and Amazon are closing the ACSI  gap in the computer market

For the study on electronics and household appliances, nearly 10,000 respondents were interviewed from July 2021 to June 2022. Apple retained its first position in the personal computers category which includes desktops, laptops, and tablets.

“Satisfaction with desktop computers rebounds, up 3% to an ACSI score of 80. This improvement puts desktops in sole possession of first place. Laptops and tablets both score 79, with the former inching up 1% and the latter surging 4%.”

ACSI’s desktop average score is 80, and the Cupertino tech giant scored 82 which is two points higher and the same as its score in 2021.

The introduction of Apple Silicon in 2020 gave a new life to Apple’s Mac lineup. Starting with the M1 chip, the Macs powered by Apple Silicon deliver faster performance and incredible power efficiency which beat popular Intel computers like LG Gram, Intel-based MacBooks, and others.

Cupertino tech giant has also expanded its silicon tech to its next-generation tablets. Starting with the 2020 M1 iPad Pro (12.9-inch), the company launched 11-inch iPad Pro (2021), and iPad Air (2022) with M1 chip. This year, the company launched the next-generation M2 chip in the new MacBook Air and MacBook Pro
