Beats Studio Buds appear in FCC filing hinting at imminent launch

Beats Studio Buds, which were first discovered in iOS 14.6 and tvOS 14.6 release candidates, have been found in an FCC filing. The filings are under IDs BCGA2512 and BCGA2513, and have been approved by the FCC.

The new Beats Studio Buds will feature a design similar to earbuds from other manufacturers, which is nothing like other Beats headphones that are currently available. The earbuds will feature an H1 chip which will allow them to support active noise cancellation, hands-free “Hey Siri”, instant pairing, and more, just like AirPods Pro and AirPods Max.

Beats Studio Buds launch is imminent

Apart from the details that we already know thanks to iOS 14.6 and tvOS 14.6 release candidates, there is not anything new that can be found from the FCC filing. Details such as battery life, price, and other features are still unknown.

Considering that the FCC filing is approved, this means that the Beats Studio Buds are ready to go on sale any moment now. iOS 14.6 might launch this week or the next, so we expect Beats Studio Buds to launch after the new update as it will feature support for the new earbuds.

It has also been rumored that Apple has AirPods 3 ready to go on sale soon, however, the rumored dates keep flying by. The company was expected to announce AirPods 3 along with Apple Music Lossless, however, that did not happen. It kind of made sense that Apple did not announce new AirPods with Apple Music Lossless, considering that none of the current AirPods models support lossless audio quality and the new ones would not have supported it either due to reliance on Bluetooth.
