Not keeping subscribers waiting, Apple has launched exclusive Chinese New Year playlists on Apple Music. 2021 Chinese New Year playlists are from 10 C-pop artists like E.SO, Wu Tiao Ren, Miriam Yeung, The Chairs: Keep Rollin’, Air: Do 4 LOVE, and others.
Celebrate on the first day of the first month of the Chinese calendar, between January 21 and February 20, this year the Chinese New Year will be celebrated on February 12 and it is the year of the Ox. Also known as Spring or Lunar Festival, those observing the auspicious celebration give gifts to family and friends in red envelopes and boxes to bring good fortune and keep away ill-fortune. Therefore, last month, Apple Store in China launched limited-edition AirPods Pro Year of the Ox set engraving, and sides of the box of the wireless Bluetooth earbuds have red Ox printed. The announcement read,
“Here comes a box of blessings for the Year of the Ox, a limited edition.”
How to Listen to exclusive Chinese New Year playlists on Apple Music
Like every year, Apple has exclusive playlists from popular Chinese singers to enjoy 2021 Chinese New Year. Here is how you can listen to them on Apple Music.
- Open the Apple Music app > Browser.
- In the Browser UI, tap/click on the “Celebrate Chinese New Year with Playlists” under the Explore More section.
- The dedicated section for CNY 2021 also offers playlists from previous years.
