Greens Mini-golf Turns the iPhone Duo Top Half into a Caddie Camera

Greens Mini-golf is a free putt-putt game for the iPhone Duo where folding the phone like a laptop puts the course on the lower half and turns the upper half into a caddie camera. The game requires iOS 18.0 or later and runs on other iPhones and iPads too.

Developer BSR Films released Greens: Mini-golf on the App Store, and Apple’s editors included it in their Great Games on iPhone Duo collection. Version 1.3 added iPhone Duo layout changes, and version 1.4 followed with more iPhone Duo refinements.

Greens Mini-golf turns the top half of the folded iPhone Duo into a caddie camera

Unfolding an iPhone Duo fills the screen with the full hole. Fold the phone like a laptop, and the course sits on the lower half for putting while the upper half shows the hole from above as a caddie camera.

You drag anywhere on the screen like pulling back a putter, then release. Dotted guides preview the start of the ball’s roll, including rails and slopes, and harder pulls send the ball farther. Short putts give you fine control.

Medals follow your score. Par earns bronze, under par earns silver and a hole-in-one earns gold, and the game saves your best score on every hole. Ghost racing replays your best run as a translucent ball.

Six free Classic Courses and sixteen theme courses cover ice, lava and space

The free game includes six Classic Courses with 54 holes and the Daily Three, a set of three holes that every player gets once and that tracks your streak. Each theme course takes one idea further on every hole.

  • Frost Hollow centers on ice and Inferno on lava.
  • Dunes adds sand and quicksand, and Crystal Caverns adds magnetic crystals.
  • Castle has drawbridges and moats, and Pirate Cove has cannons and currents.
  • Space Station brings shifting gravity and wormholes, and Jungle Temple has swinging logs and waterfalls.

Version 1.5 added three free fall Classic Courses and three new theme courses. Version 1.6 added iCloud sync for medals, bests and streaks across your devices.

Greens Mini-golf is free with a one-time purchase that unlocks the theme courses

The download is free with in-app purchases, and a single purchase unlocks all sixteen theme courses. Game Center adds leaderboards for each course and the Daily Three, along with achievements, and Family Sharing is supported. The developer reports that the app collects no data.

You can aim and putt with VoiceOver. The game respects Reduce Motion and scales its menus with your text size.

Greens Mini-golf is a 19.6 MB download that requires iOS 18.0 or later, iPadOS 18.0 or later, macOS 15.0 on a Mac with an M1 chip or later, or visionOS 2.0 or later. The game is in English and carries a 4+ age rating.
