Apple Podcasts app on iOS 15.4 beta 3 gains new browsing filter options

Apple Podcasts has gained new features in the latest iOS 15.4 beta 3 update which includes new filter options to easily search for new or favorite content. As Podcasts streaming has become a booming industry, audio streaming companies like Apple, Spotify, Tidal, and others are in competition to offer a great listening experience to capture the most market share.

Last year, Apple introduced Apple Podcasts subscriptions and channels to offer exclusive content to users for a price set by the podcast creators, and Spotify also launched paid podcast subscriptions, worldwide. Now, Apple has made it easy for users to search for episodes of a Podcast via new filters.

Apple has quietly updated its Podcasts app in iOS 15.4 beta to include new filter options when browsing shows in your library or in the Apple Podcasts catalog. Once you choose a podcast, there are now options to filter episodes by played, unplayed, downloaded, or saved. Users can easily access new filters by tapping on “Episodes” or “See All” options to view the filter options menu.

Furthermore, the update also includes a new “Browse by Season” feature which enables users to filter episodes by season, instead of seeing them all together.
