A Chinese Weibo account, ‘Kang’ has recently posted allegedly details of the upcoming iPhone 12 lineup. The leak also mentioned most of the products set to be announced at Apple’s October 13th event. The iPhone 12 lineup is expected to be announced at Apple’s upcoming online event. The ‘Hi, Speed’ event will be streamed live on apple.com and the company’s YouTube channel at 10:00 a.m. PDT from Apple Park.
For the first, Apple confirmed that the launch of the new flagship smartphone will be delayed by a few weeks, meaning that the company will not follow the usual September launch schedule. Tech analysts claimed that the delay is due to production disruptions related to the COVID-19 pandemic.

The leak also includes the launch date for the upcoming iPhone 12 lineup:

According to the leak, all four models in the iPhone 12 lineup will have OLED Super Retina XDR displays and a new “Ceramic Shield” glass screen and are all capable of shooting Dolby Vision video, which offers a higher dynamic range. Additionally, all models will be 5G-enabled, but only the U.S. models of the iPhone 12 lineup will support the faster mmWave 5G band.
Other major details in the leak include a “Smart Data Mode” for the iPhone 12 lineup that switches between 4G and 5G depending on bandwidth needs to save power and iPhone 12 photography improvements for Deep Fusion and Night Mode. According to the leak, there is a “47 percent larger sensor” on the iPhone 12 Pro Max compared to the iPhone 12 Pro, and a special “Expansive” super wide-angle capability for the Max model.
The leak also includes pricing and launch date details on the rumored HomePod Mini as well as an alleged “MagSafe” iPhone 12 case and two wireless chargers. Though expected to be announced at Apple’s upcoming event, the leak does not mention AirTags or AirPods Studio headphones.
The source “Kang” has a relatively reliable track record, and has accurately predicted several of Apple’s WWDC and September event announcements this year, including the iPhone SE price, the hand-washing feature for Apple Watch, and details of the new iPad Air.
