Netflix launches new ‘Fast Laugh’ feature on iOS – an Instagram Stories like feed of funny clips

Netflix has launched a new ‘Fast Laugh’ feature on the iPhone app. Now the app will show a new full-screen feed of funny clips of all comedy titles on the video streaming service which users will be able to react to, watch and do more directly in the feed. Currently, the new Fast Laugh feature is only available on iOS in selected regions but the company says that it will be released on the Andriod version of the app.

The popular video streaming service has been pushing its content to users via new features like the recently launched ‘Downloads For You‘ for users to discover new content. Based on users’ watch history, the feature automatically downloads new movies or episodes of shows that the user might like. And now it is providing a preview of comedy titles on the service in the ‘Fast Laugh’ feed.

Wanna see something funny?

On Netflix, this one little question opens up lots of possibilities from hilarious series and films to laugh-out-loud stand-up specials.

Netflix introduces a new Fast Laugh feed to allow users to explore, and enjoy funny content

Available as a separate section at the bottom of the app’s user interface, the new ‘Fast Laugh’ feed allows users to not only explore but also to react to the humorous clips, share them via messaging apps, add the title to their ‘My List’, and directly, start watching the show or movie. Although the new feed plays like Instagram Stories, users will not be able to skip through them,”clips will start playing – when one ends another begins, to keep the laughs coming.”

Fast Laughs offers a full-screen feed of funny clips from our big comedy catalog including films (Murder Mystery), series (Big Mouth), sitcoms (The Crew), and stand-up from comedians like Kevin Hart and Ali Wong.

And what if you see a scene from a classic that is long overdue for a rewatch? Or catch something new that deserves a closer look? Fast Laughs lets you add series, films and stand-up specials to your list, or start viewing them immediately. You can also share the clips individually on Whatsapp, Instagram, Snapchat and Twitter – so your friends can get in on the fun too.- Netflix
