All new Watchtower brings a whole new level of security on mobile.

  • It alerts the users when they need to take action and makes it easier to do so. For example, “If your credentials are involved in a data breach, you’ll see an alert in Watchtower and in the item itself. Tap it to take steps to protect yourself (like changing your password).”
  • Watchtower evaluates and uses security data points to calculate their “Security score” which is designed to give users a birds-eye view of their overall security. The score includes factors like weak passwords, inactive two-factor authentication, compromised passwords, and others.

Made security questions easier by generating random answers to security questions. “Just add a security question field to any item, and let 1Password generate an answer for you.”

Improved autofill is now faster and more precise to quickly fill in the information of payment cards, identities, addresses, codes, and more.

New users can download 1Password 8 from the App Store and Play Store for free with in-app purchases. It is compatible with iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch and requires iOS 15.1 or later.
