Steve Jobs’ 1973 handwritten job application sold for $222, 400 in London

iMore reports that a job application written by Apple’s former CEO, Steve Jobs sold for a huge price tag of $222, 400 in London. Written by the famous founder of Apple in 1973, the application was drafted after Jobs had dropped out of Reed College in Portland, Oregan. Previously, the document for sold for $175,000 in 2018.

Born in 1955 in San Francisco, California, Jobs enrolled and dropped out of Reed College in 1972 and traveled to India in 1974. Returning from his trip, the tech genius met Steve Wozniak in 1976 and the duo founded Apple Inc. The rest is history and today’s world owes alot to Steve Jobs for his revolutionary vision and passion for innovation to offer amazing products and transforming telecommunication.

Written in 1973, Steve Jobs’ application is sold for a huge price tag in London

The application shows that Steve Jobs majored in English Literature and ironically did not have a phone contact to mention on the application. As per the report, Steve Jobs application was described as,

A single page signed job application from 1973 is being offered for sale by auction.In the questionnaire Steve Jobs highlights his experience with “computers and calculators” and special abilities in “electronic tech or design engineer – digital”.

The questionnaire is believed to have been completed around the time he dropped out of Reed College in Portland, Oregon.A year later he joined Atari as a technician where he worked with Steve Wozniak before they founded Apple in 1976.

The application is in very good condition with some overall creasing, light staining and old clear tape to the top edge. It is accompanied by letters and certificates of authenticity.
