watchOS 10.2 beta 4 released to developers

Apple has released watchOS 10.2 beta 4 to developers. The update is available as an over-the-air update for compatible Apple Watch models.

Apple previously released watchOS 10.1 with new features which include the Double tap gesture for Apple Watch Series 9 and Apple Watch Ultra 2, NameDrop for contact sharing, My Card complication, and a number of bug fixes and security updates.

Nov 28 – Apple has released the fourth beta to developers.

Nov 14 – Apple has released the third beta to developers.

Beta 2

Nov 9 – Apple has released the second beta to developers.

Beta 1

October 26 – Apple has released the first beta to developers. No new noticeable changes have been found so far, but we will update the article if we find any.

How can you install watchOS 10.2 on Apple Watch beta 4?

Prerequisites:

Before you start, make sure:

  • Your Apple Watch is placed on its charging puck 
  • It has at least 50% battery charge.

Steps

The upgrade can be done through either of the following methods:

  • On your paired iPhone, open the Watch app and go to General > Software Update. Wait for the update to appear and start the download.
  • On your Apple Watch, go to Settings > General > Software Update. Wait for the update to show up and start the download.
