HP has launched the successor to one of its most popular consumer tablet PCs TouchSmart TX2z, model TM2. The new model has an updated Intel processor with built in Intel graphics for the basic specs. The imprint finish has also changed, which still makes it stand out from the crowd. It now ships with the SU7300 1.3GHz Core 2 Duo ULV processor and 3GB of DDR3 RAM. This base specifications model is available for $950
If you’re willing to shell out a little more, you can get 512MB ATI Mobility Radeon HD 4550 Graphics as well as an Intel Core 2 Duo SU9600 1.60GHz processor. We’re not sure if it outperforms the TX2z in terms of processing speed yet since we don’t have any numbers but we’ll soon know. The good thing is that you can get around 10 hours of battery life out of the TM2 which is great news for students who intend to take notes all day long in educational institutes.
TM2 ships with Windows 7 Home Premium, HDMI port and 7200 RPM drives. This guarantees that you’ll get the best multimedia experience out of this notebook. For tablet users, the touch screen supports both finger and pen touch. Rest assured you’ll get the best Windows 7 Touch experience from the TM2.
