Apple, recently, released the new iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 adoption numbers which reveal that the iOS 14 installation has increased to 86% of iPhones introduced in the last four years. And iPadOS 14 installation has increased to 84% of iPad introduced in the last four years.
In two months the adoption numbers have seen impressive growth. In December 2020, it was reported that iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 were installed on 81% of iPhones and 75% of iPads introduced in the last four years. Apple launched the new iOS 14 and iPadOS 14 in September 2020. The latest software updates offer several new features like Home Screen widgets, privacy updates, App Library, App Clips and more.
iOS 14 is now on 86% of iPhones and iPadOS 14 is now on 80% of iPads
As per published adoption numbers on App Store, out of all iPhone models, introduced in the last four years, 86% are on iOS 14, 12% are on iOS 13 and 2% are on the earlier iOS version. And 80% of all devices use iOS 14, 12% use iOS 13, and 8% use earlier iOS build.

Out of all the iPad models launched in the last four years, 84% are on iPadOS 14, 14% are on iPadOS 13, and 2% on the earlier version. And 70% of all iPad models use iPadOS 14, 14% use iOS 13 and 16% use earlier builds.
