iPhone 13 Pro Max will have a much larger camera module

Twitter handle @DuanRui shared images of an alleged iPhone 13 Pro Max protective case with a significantly larger camera module. The images of the smartphone case were shared by @UnclePan on Weibo, a Chinese social media network.

Recently, Economic Daily News confirmed that ‘iPhone 13’ is indeed the name of Apple’s upcoming smartphones series, there was speculation that the company might not use the number 13 because of the superstition associated with it. In addition, the report also reiterated that there are going to be four models in the series like iPhone 12 lineup: 5.4-inch mini, 6.1-inch base, 6.1-inch Pro, and 6.7-inch Pro Max models. And reports claim that iPhone 13 Pro Max will come with advanced features like an improved camera system, display, smaller notch, and more.

The camera module of the iPhone 13 Pro Max will be bigger than iPhone 12 Pro Max

The images posted by @UnclePan are of two alleged protective cases of the iPhone 13 Pro and iPhone 13 Pro Max.  Although UnclePan’s description was incorrect, @DuanRui clarified that the rear camera cut out of the alleged iPhone 13 Pro Max protective case is very big, and the iPhone 12 Pro Max rear camera module looks a lot smaller in that case. However, iPhone 13 Pro camera module is slightly bigger than of iPhone 12 Pro model.

Recently, schematic diagrams of iPhone 13 Pro and Pro Max models showed that camera bumps would be larger than iPhone 12 Pro and Pro Max models. CAD created on details shared by industry sources displayed that lens, LiDAR and flash occupy a larger area in the new smartphone’s Pro models. It is speculated that Apple might ship the models with bigger camera sensors to offer improved ultra-wide lens.

Apple has reportedly upgraded the camera system in the Pro models of the upcoming iPhone series. Tech analyst, Ming-Chi Kuo claimed that the iPhone 13 Pro models will feature an improved ultra-wide camera with auto-focus capability for sharper and crisper photographs. The current iPhone 12 Pro models have a fixed-focus feature which also delivers impressive results, as per reviews.
