WordPress for iOS gets Insights page, settings and tracking improvements

WordPress for iPhone and iPad has received some minor updates which include a better looking Insights page, changes to how post views are tracked in Reader, and updates to settings and About section.

Although WordPress is still not my go to app for publishing on the go, I always have it installed for quick glances at Insights and stats. While I use Google Analytics for detailed numbers, WordPress Insights presents a good overview in a nice infographic style design. In the new update, WordPress version 5.5 gets a cleaner layout with minor changes.Wordpress iOS app

Here is the complete list of changes:

  • Improved Insights page layout
  • More settings for blogs are adjustable now from within the app. Site Title and Tagline can now be updated through the app
  • A redesigned About page
  • If you read your own blog in the WordPress Reader, it will not count as a page view anymore in your website’s WordPress statistics as you are a logged in user.

WordPress for iOS is a universal app and is available in the App Store to download for free.
