Zoom Adds iPhone Duo Support in Version 7.2.5

Zoom for iPhone Duo is now available with Zoom Workplace 7.2.5, as per the latest update from Zoom. The update comes more than a week after the phone went on sale on October 23, and the version available on launch day, 7.2.3, was a bug fix update.

Apple showed Zoom turning the inner display into a video conference room in its list of iPhone Duo launch apps on October 22. To get it, update Zoom Workplace from the App Store.

The Layout Apple Showed in September Is Only Now on the App Store

Apple said in its iPhone Duo announcement on September 9 that Zoom was already taking advantage of the folding design, and the October 22 update showed it on a fully open phone. Zoom shipped three App Store versions in between, 7.2.0 on September 19, 7.2.1 on September 28 and 7.2.3 on October 23, and all three were bug fix updates.

Version 7.2.5 is the first Zoom Workplace update whose App Store notes mention iPhone Duo support. It is a free download at 489.2 MB that requires iOS 15 or later, with in-app purchases for the paid Zoom Workplace Pro plans.

Zoom for iPhone Duo Keeps Shared Content and Participants on Screen Together

Apple says Zoom turns the inner display into an immersive video conference room, so you can see the content being shared and the other participants on the call at once. The inner display measures 7.6 inches and is 50 percent larger than the iPhone 18 Pro Max screen.

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote Are Updated Too

Zoom is one of several apps that added iPhone Duo layouts after launch day. Lander for Reddit now shows its feed beside the open post on the inner display, and Apple marks optimized apps with a Made for iPhone Duo badge on their App Store pages.

Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint and OneNote are now updated for iPhone Duo as well. Apple had named only Word and Outlook on October 22, saying they would get a desktop-class layout in the coming weeks. Zenless Zone Zero is the next app on Apple’s list, with its iPhone Duo update due in November.
