Three iOS 27 Features Apple Has Promised but Not Released

Apple still owes iPhone owners three missing iOS 27 features it announced at WWDC 2026, the redesigned Health app, automatic password changes and Siri AI in four more languages. Apple has promised the Health app and the languages for 2026, but the password feature has no date.

iOS 27 launched on September 14 and iOS 27.2 followed on October 26, and neither included these three. The iOS 27.3 beta is expected on November 4, but Apple has not said which update will bring any of them.

iOS 27 Health app

The redesigned Health app is the biggest of the missing iOS 27 features

The redesigned Health app adds an Insights tab that summarizes your heart, sleep, readiness, fitness, vitals and cycle tracking data through the day. A Longevity tab adds Health Age, which compares your Apple Watch metrics with your chronological age.

Apple also plans to let you buy lab tests from Quest Diagnostics inside the app. The tests cover more than 50 biomarkers for $119 at about 2,000 Quest locations in the United States. The app will also run movement assessments at home that measure flexibility, strength, balance and VO2 max with the iPhone camera and Apple Watch.

The app appeared in the early iOS 27.2 betas, then Apple removed it in iOS 27.2 beta 4, and the final release shipped without it. Apple says it will be available later this year, starting with English in the United States, with more languages to follow.

Automatic password changes have no release window

The Passwords app was built to flag weak or compromised passwords and change them on the website for you, using Apple Intelligence and Safari. Apple pulled the option from the iOS 27 betas and said the feature would arrive in a future software update before iOS 27 launched.

That label still applies on iPhone and iPad, with no timeframe attached. The Messages suggestions that were cut at the same time did ship in iOS 27.2, but nothing ties the password feature to the same schedule.

Siri AI will add four more languages by the end of 2026

Siri AI launched with iOS 27 in English only, and iOS 27.2 added five more languages, including French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish. Apple has committed to extending Siri AI language support to Chinese (Traditional), Norwegian, Turkish and Vietnamese by the end of the year. iOS 27.3 is already confirmed to be bringing Chinese support to Apple Intelligence, however, other languages are unconfirmed so far.

Siri AI is still a beta in iOS 27.2 and needs an Apple Intelligence device set to a supported language. Siri AI also remains unavailable in the EU on iPhone, iPad and Apple Watch, where Apple says it is working with the EU on a path forward.
