Most iPhone 3G users have updated their devices to iOS 4 and now all of them are complaining about the slow downs they’re facing which make their iPhone seem like it’s inspired by a Symbian or mediocre Android smartphone. Even though most of the features of iOS 4 are not  available for iPhone 3G, it really slows down the phone and frustrates users. According to a report by Wall Street Journal, Apple is investigating problems for iPhone 3G users with iOS 4 after listening to a lot of serious complaints. Just before the launch of iPhone 4, Apple announced that they are facing some manufacturing issues with the white iPhone 4 and it would be launched in mid July. Then in the iPhone 4 press conference, where Apple announced free bumpers and cases for iPhone 4 users, Steve Jobs said that the white iPhone 4 will be ship by the end of July. And now just a few days ago, Apple announced that the white iPhone 4 will not ship until the end of this year because of manufacturing issues related to white coloring in the front glass. Apple never explained what the real issue with iPhone 4 manufacturing is. Yesterday, Apple released the second beta version of iOS 4.1 to developers. About two weeks ago, Apple had released the first beta version of iOS 4.1 for developers which had some minor changes from iOS 4.0. The update was much anticipated as Apple had announced in the press conference of iPhone 4 that they would fix some issues with the proximity sensor with the next software update. A video has been posted on YouTube that compares the real world usage performance of iPhone 2G, 3G, 3GS and 4 by putting them side by side and clocking the load times of different apps on them. Spoiler: There isn’t much of a different in the loading times of iPhone 2G and 3G, similarly iPhone 3GS and iPhone 4 don’t have much difference either. In a recent press conference iPhone 4, Steve Jobs said that antennagate is not a unique problem with iPhone 4 and that almost all Smartphones have this issue. Apple showed some demonstration videos in the press conference of RIM, HTC and Samsung smartphones and also posted these videos on their website and on YouTube. RIM, Nokia and other companies responded to Apple’s claims and said their smartphone’s do not have antenna issues like iPhone 4. Then just after a few days, Apple posted a video of Nokia Smartphone N97 showing the same problem. Just before the launch of iPhone 4, Apple had announced that due to some manufacturing issues the White iPhone 4 would not launch till the second half of July. Then, in the recent press conference, Steve Jobs mentioned that Apple would ship the white iPhone 4 till the end of July.
