Facebook app for iPhone updated to v3.1 – Push Notifications and Contact Syncing added

image

Facebook app for iPhone and iPod Touch has been updated to version 3.1 which brings support for push notifications and contact syncing. Both of these features had been greatly in demand but were provided through 3rd party apps only so far. Push notifications are available for messages, comments, wall posts and the likes while contact sync adds your Friends’ information to the Contacts app as well as there profile pictures.

I personally used Boxcar for Facebook push notifications, but it seems such a waste now. Now only if they add iPhone playback support for Facebook videos in the next version, it’ll be awesome.

The update is available now in the App Store so hurry up and download it now!
