Apple has released watchOS 27.0.1 for every Apple Watch that supports watchOS 27. The older models that missed last week’s release now have the update too.
It follows last week’s release for the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4, which Apple shipped on September 23 to fix an unexpected restart problem. The release notes have not changed since then, and the build number is 24R365, the same one those two watches received.
The Restart Fix Now Reaches Six More Apple Watch Models
Last week’s release was limited to the two newest watches, and Apple did not say whether older models would follow. Today’s rollout covers the rest of the watchOS 27 lineup.

Apple’s release notes for the update are one sentence long.
This update provides bug fixes for your Apple Watch including fixing an issue where Apple Watch may restart unexpectedly.
The notes name the restart fix and nothing else, so the remaining changes are general bug fixes that Apple has not itemized. Owners of the Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 do not need to do anything, since they already have this build.
Apple Shipped 27.0.1 Updates for Its Other Platforms on the Same Day
The watchOS release landed alongside iOS 27.0.1, iPadOS 27.0.1, visionOS 27.0.1, iOS 26.7.1, macOS 27.0.1 Golden Gate, macOS Tahoe 26.7.1 and macOS Sequoia 15.8.1.
The iPhone update carries a fix for a Face ID bug that could restart some iPhone 18 Pro models. The other updates in the batch include additional bug fixes and security improvements.
How to Install watchOS 27.0.1 on Your Apple Watch
The update can be installed from the watch itself or from the Apple Watch app on the paired iPhone.
- Put the Apple Watch on its charger and make sure the battery is above 50 percent.
- On the watch, open Settings, go to General, then Software Update. On the iPhone, open the Apple Watch app and follow the same path.
- Tap Download and Install, then leave the watch on the charger until it restarts.
