The Hollywood Reporter writes that Ana de Armas will appear in place of Scarlett Johannson in Apple TV+’s upcoming original movie “Ghosted”. The new movie is created and written by Paul Wernick and Rhett Reese who are known for “Deadpool” films and are working on Netflix’s upcoming Escape from Spiderhead movie.
Precise production-related and release details of the new Apple TV+ movie are not known but it will be a romantic action-adventure film which will be directed by Dexter Fletcher, produced by Skydance Productions and stars Chris Evan who is also serving as the executive producer, along with David Ellison, Dana Goldberg, Don Granger, and Jules Daly.

No Time to Die star Ana de Armas is in and Scarlett Johansson is out in Apple Original Films’ adventure pic Ghosted, to be directed by Dexter Fletcher and produced by Skydance Media.
Evans and Johansson, known for playing Captain America and Black Widow, respectively, in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, had originally teamed up for Ghosted. The deal for the Apple film was the second Johansson signed after filing her lawsuit against Disney over alleged contract breaches with the Disney+ release of Black Widow.
The Cuban and Spanish actress, Ana de Armas has started in several English-speaking roles in movies like erotic thriller Knock Knock (2015), the comedy-crime film War Dogs (2016), sports biopic Hands of Stone (2016), and science fiction film Blade Runner 2049 (2017). Armas was nominated for the Golden Globe Award for Best Actress in a Comedy and Musical for the mystery film Knives Out (2019). She recently appeared as Bond girl Paloma in the No Time to Die (2021) James Bond movie and she is playing Marilyn Monroe Netflix’s upcoming biographical drama Blonde, releasing in 2022.
Ghosted will join the expanding catalog of Apple TV+ original movies like Finch, Palmer, Cherry, and upcoming films which include: Swan Song, Killer of the Flower Moon, Tragedy of Macbeth, Emancipation, and others.
