Apple TV+ has recently put out a trailer for “Wolfwalkers” an animated movie about a magical Irish legend of those who live among the wolves. Apple’s video streaming service was launched in 2019 with exclusive originals for kids and adults. It has now become the only new service to launch in over 100 countries instantly, has been “honored with 107 awards nominations and 26 wins and accolades.”
The video streaming service offers a diverse library of original content like comedy, talk shows, drama series, kids content, and more. In just 9 months since its launch, the service has won two Emmy awards.
New animated movie coming to Apple TV+
The trailer tells the story of a young novice hunter who must journey to Ireland with her father to wipe out the last wolf pack. Once there she meets a girl who is close with the wolves and whose tribe is rumored to turn into wolves at night.
This is the first feature-length animated film for Apple’s streaming service release “soon” according to the trailer. Animated movies and TV shows will likely lead the way this year due to the global health crisis. However, this particular film has been in production for around three years. The movie was created by the studio famous for “Song of the Sea.”
Apple has a good amount of content aimed at kids on its streaming service. The platform debuted with “Snoopy In Space” for younger kids and the family-friendly musical series “Central Park” concluded its first season recently. The children’s programming for Apple TV+ had 17 Daytime Emmy nominations.
The Cupertino tech giant has added an impressive variety of content on the service in just nine months and has recently signed deals to bring even more exciting titles to the platform. Some of the new movies, series, and shows coming on the service are as following:
- 3 new original documentaries coming this Fall
