Apple TV+ unveils the trailer for season 2 of “Physical” drama series debuting on June 3

Apple TV+ has released the trailer for “Physical” season 2 ahead of its global premiere on June 3, 2022. The new 10-episode second season is centered around the complexities and challenges Sheila Rubin faces as she works to develop and expand her fitness program.

“Physical” season 2 also adds Murray Bartlett to the ensemble cast that includes Rose Byrne, Dierdre Friel, Della Saba, Rory Scovel, Paul Sparks, and Lou Taylor Pucci. Bartlett plays the role of Vinnie Green who is a charismatic fitness trainer, weight-loss expert, and pioneer of the late-night infomercial.

The plot of Apple TV+ “Physical” gets more complex in season 2 as Sheila burns all her bridges to build her empire

Situated in the 1980s, “Physical” is a dark comedy about the life of a housewife Sheila Rubin (played by Rose Byrne) who discovers her potential as a fitness trainer and businesswoman. In the upcoming second season, the plot thickens as Rubin encounters new challenges related to her professional and personal life.

The trailer for “Physical” season 2 showcases the drama surrounding Rubin’s ambitions to build her empire in a hostile, competitive, and misogynist environment.

In the second season, our hero Sheila Rubin (Byrne) has successfully launched her first fitness video only to encounter some new and bigger obstacles in her path. She is torn between loyalty to her husband (Scovel) and the values he represents, and a dangerous attraction to someone else. And since she’s no longer the only game in town, she finds herself having to outrun some fierce new competitors on the road to building a full-fledged fitness empire.
