Apple releases two new Apple Watch Pride Bands, and a new Pride watch face

Apple has announced new Apple Watch versions in celebration of Pride Month. The Cupertino tech giant recently unveiled two new Apple Watch Pride Edition brands, along with a new Pride watch face for Apple Watch users. The watch face will be made available in some time via software update.

For the first time, the packaging of each new Pride band will include a scannable App Clip code offering a convenient way for customers to immediately access the new Pride Woven watch face available for them. App Clip codes require an iPhone running iOS 14.3 or later.

Apple recently announced a new Pride Edition version of the Nike Sport Loop and Braided Solo Loop for the Apple. “A new Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop showcases six colors of the original rainbow, and utilizes reflective yarn to aid those engaging in outdoor workouts at night like running, cycling, and walking.” the announcement reads, “The comfortable design is durable, infinitely adjustable for the perfect fit, and pairs nicely with a corresponding Nike watch face.”

For the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop, Apple says that the band consists of the original rainbow colors woven together to represent the breadth of diversity among LGBTQ+ experiences and the history of a movement that has spanned generations.

The Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop artfully weaves together the original rainbow colors with those drawn from various Pride flags to represent the breadth of diversity among LGBTQ+ experiences and the history of a movement that has spanned generations. Black and brown symbolize Black and Latinx communities, in addition to those who have passed away from or are living with HIV/AIDS, while light blue, pink, and white represent transgender and nonbinary individuals. The unique band features stretchable recycled yarn interwoven with silicon threads, designed for ultracomfort without buckles or clasps. To ensure the best fit, customers can choose from 12 available lengths of the Braided Solo Loop.

The Pride Edition Nike Sport Loop and the Pride Edition Braided Solo Loop are available for $49 each. The products are available to order from Apple’s website, they will arrive in stores on 25 May.
