Apple has released the IPSW firmware files for iOS 27.2 and iPadOS 27.2, so you can update or restore an iPhone or iPad manually from a Mac or Windows PC. Both updates use build 24B119, which replaces the release candidate build 24B115 from last week.
iOS 27.2 adds Siri AI in French, Japanese, Korean, Portuguese and Spanish, plus Dual Capture in Group FaceTime and profiles in the Apple TV app. The redesigned Health app was pulled before release. iPadOS 27.2 brings the Apple TV profiles and the same Siri AI languages to the iPad.
An IPSW file is the full firmware package for one device model. It helps when an over-the-air update keeps failing or a device is stuck and needs a restore. Everyone else can install from Settings, then General, then Software Update.
Each file is tied to a specific model, so check Settings, then General, then About for your exact model before you download. To go back to an earlier release, see our guide on how to downgrade from iOS 27. Firmware files for the previous update are in our iOS 27.0.1 and iPadOS 27.0.1 download post.
Build 24B119 Replaces the Release Candidate
The release candidate files from October 19 carry build 24B115, so check the build number in the file name before you install. The iPhone and iPad files for build 24B119 run from about 10.7 GB to 13.7 GB depending on the model.

Restoring With an IPSW File Can Erase the Device
The steps below install the file from a computer. Back up the iPhone or iPad to iCloud or a computer first, because a full restore wipes everything on it.
- Download the IPSW file that matches your exact model
- Connect the device to a Mac and open it in Finder, or to a Windows PC and open the Apple Devices app
- Hold Option on a Mac or Shift on Windows, then click Check for Update
- Select the IPSW file you downloaded
- Wait for the install to finish and the device to restart
Clicking Restore instead of Check for Update erases the device and installs a fresh copy of iOS 27.2 or iPadOS 27.2. Apple usually stops signing older builds soon after a new one ships, and an unsigned file cannot be installed. Apple is currently signing the builds listed above for every iPhone and iPad model on this page.
