Apple Maps immersive features are now available in New Zealand, Monaco and other regions

The revamped Apple Maps with immersive features, curated guides and more is now available in new countries including New Zealand, Monaco, and France. According to Apple, Apple Maps’ cycling directions now cover 49 states in the United States.

In iOS 15, the Cupertino tech elevated the Apple Maps experience with advanced features like a 3-D globe and landmarks, Look Around, detailed road coverage for better navigation, improved transit and cycling experience, and much more. The new features were available in select locations at the time of launch and now, the company is gradually expanding to new countries and regions.

Apple’s senior vice president of Services, Eddy Cue said:

“Apple Maps is the best way to explore and navigate the world, all while protecting your privacy. We are excited to bring this experience to even more users with today’s rollout in New Zealand. Maps has been rebuilt from the ground up, with better navigation, richer detail, more accurate information for places, and remarkable features that only Apple can deliver, like Look Around, Natural Language Guidance and more. Now it is easier than ever for users to find the places they love and get to where they’re going.”

All the new features coming to Apple Maps in iOS 16

To further enhance users’ experience, Apple Maps will be getting major improvements in the upcoming iOS 16 update. Users with compatible devices will be able to add multiple stops via multistop routing, commuters will be able to quickly pay for rides through Pay for Transit with iPhone and take virtual tours of sites with Look Around tech expanded to apps.
