Valley Run is a $0.99 marble racing game for the iPhone Duo where folding the phone swings a chrome marble through neon courses, like pumping a playground swing. Owners of other iPhones can play the game too by tilting the phone.
Developer Adam Bellow released the iPhone-only game on the App Store. The game has 100 courses across ten worlds and joins other iPhone Duo apps that use the fold as a control, such as Orisuji, a paper maze you solve by folding the phone.
Folding the iPhone Duo swings the marble higher around each turn
You fold the phone to pump the marble higher, so each fold needs good timing. Hitting the turn gives you a Perfect, and stopping on the very edge gives you a Lip Stall. You also have to grab every gem before time runs out.
On an iPhone Duo you can stand the phone half open like a tiny arcade cabinet and fold it with the pad on the table. Other iPhones tilt instead, and optional side tilt steering adds a harder challenge on any phone. Assist mode gives you a slower marble and wider roads whenever you want them.
Ten worlds, daily challenges and ghost races keep the courses changing
The campaign has 100 neon courses across ten worlds, from Neon Coast and Glass Canyon to Mirror Lake and Rolling Hills. Storm Front adds tornadoes and lightning that flashes before it strikes, Mirror Lake adds an echo marble that copies your swing and Rolling Hills adds bumpy roads that fight every climb.
- The Daily Challenge is a new course every day with its own leaderboard, and clearing it 3, 7 and 30 days in a row earns new marble pieces.
- Ghost races let you race a see-through copy of your best run, and you can send friends a link to race your ghost.
- Hard Mode remixes all 100 courses with stronger gravity, one marble fewer, narrower roads and hazards that keep a faster beat, and the first seven worlds borrow lightning, tornadoes and the echo marble from the last three.
- Weekly events open one course to everyone each week, with a badge for clearing it before the week ends.
Marble Studio lets you paint any marble you have earned and pick a pattern, finish and trail, including Gold and Aurora. You can also turn your own music into courses.
Valley Run costs $0.99 and has no ads or accounts
The campaign holds 300 stars, Hard Mode adds 300 more and there are 12 marbles to unlock. Game Center leaderboards cover every course, the Daily Challenge and Hard Mode, and reminders before your daily streak ends are optional. You can save and share clips of your best moments.
Valley Run is a 73.3 MB iPhone-only download that requires iOS 18.0 or later. The game is in English and carries a 4+ age rating.
