Apple has released watchOS 9.5.1 for Apple Watch Series 4 and later models. The update features bug fixes and improvements.
What’s new in watchOS 9.5.1?
Two weeks after watchOS 9.5 was made available to all users, Apple today released watchOS 9.5.1 as a minor update with “improvements and bug fixes.” While the release notes do not mention the specific bugs the update aims to address, watchOS 9.5.1 interestingly arrives shortly after reports of a worrisome display bug surfaced on social media.
After watchOS 9.5 was released to all users with a new Pride Celebration watch face and several bug fixes., many users took to social media to share their experience of a display bug that tints their Apple Watch green/gray.
According to the affected users, the tint varies from shades of grey, green, and even black. In addition, it can be seen on the Lock Screen, Control Center, and Notifications. The bug seemingly affects all Apple Watch models that are compatible with watchOS 9.5.
While the issue has only been reported by a small number of Apple Watch owners, it would make sense that Apple made it a priority to quickly fix the display bug with a minor update. However, as we mentioned above, the release notes for the update do not mention the specific bugs it addresses. So, we will have to wait and see if it includes a fix for the tint issue.

Go to General > Software Update in the Apple Watch app on iPhone to access the free download of watchOS 9.5.1. The Apple Watch must be charged to at least 50%, be plugged into a charger, and be within range of the iPhone in order to install the updated software.
You also need an iPhone 8 or later on iOS 16 or later to use the latest update.
