iPhone 14 Pro Max will have a titanium casing, no camera bumps, no notch and more

Apple is expected to unveil this year’s iPhone 13 series on September 14 and moving forward, leaker Jon Prosser has shared the design details of the iPhone 14 series expected to launch in 2022. Based on sources, and industry reports, Prosser claims that iPhone 14 series will be inspired by older iPhone 4 flat curved edges design language in a titanium and glass body. The 2022 smartphone series will not have camera bumps, no notch, USB-C port, bigger battery, and more.

Design details of iPhone 14 Pro Max model coming out in 2022

It must be kept in mind that the created renders are of iPhone 14 Pro Max model and it is likely that the design details may not be featured across the 2022 iPhone series and may be subjected to change at the time of launch. Here are the alleged design details of the iPhone 14 Pro Max.

Design: Apple will replace the currently used stainless steel with titanium for iPhone 14 Pro Max’s casing. Titanium is more durable and lighter than stainless steel. This feature is corroborated by JP Morgan Chase. The report stated that the use of titanium alloy will be one of the biggest changes to the case design in the 2022 ‌iPhone‌ 14 Pro models and Foxconn will be the frames’ exclusive manufacturer.

Rear Camera: Apple will remove the camera bumps in the rear camera. The lenses will be housed under the glass-back to make it look like one smooth piece. But the phone will be thick, presumably heavier too, to accommodate camera lenses and a bigger battery which is not a problem for Prosser but additional weight and thickness might be for some users.

Recently, it was reported that Apple is going to use a new fold periscope technology in the 2022 iPhones to improve zoom. Maybe, Prosser’s alleged design no camera bump design is based on that report.

Front Camera and notch: The highest-tier iPhone model of 2022 will finally get rid of the notch. Notch is a necessary but irksome feature of the latest iPhone models which houses sensors for FaceID authentication. With news of advancements in under-the-display technology, Apple might be able to embed the Face ID authentication system into a display to get rid of the notch. And the front camera will be a punch hole camera system as reported by Ming-Chi Kuo earlier.

In his leaks video, Prosser says that the volume will be circular like the iPhone 14 and the smartphone will still have the USB-C charging port. The shared renders can be downloaded from his website FrontPageTech.
