Next Apple iMac could feature display larger than current 27-inch model, according to leaker

Earlier it was reported that two redesigned iMac models are in the works and will be ready for launch in the coming months; most probably by June 2021. Now, a prolific leaker online has said that the new iMac lineup will feature a larger display than the current lineup.

The Cupertino tech giant’s desktop machines have not received a major overhaul for approximately 9 years now. Right now, Apple is selling two variants of the iMac, 21.5-inch, and 27.5-inch. The company is rumored to upgrade the two variants with faster performance and updated designs during WWDC 2021.

New redesigned lineup of iMac to feature a larger display than the current one – Leak

Esteemed leaker, l0vetodream, has posted a private tweet that says, “the iMac’s screen is really big, bigger than the biggest one.” This recent leak corroborates a report from last month which hinted at the lineup receiving thin bezels, rounded corners, Pro Display XDR, flat edges, and a larger screen. It is also expected that Apple will use M-series chips, which are expected to have 20 cores, making them significantly much faster than M1 Macs.

Out of all the new design changes in the redesigned all-in-one-desktop, M1 Apple Silicon will be the highlight change. M1 MacBook and Mac mini have provided incredible GPU and CPU performance with long-lasting battery life. Apple describes its custom-made chip as a “breakthrough”.

Our first chip designed specifically for Mac, it delivers incredible performance, custom technologies, and revolutionary power efficiency. And it was designed from the very start to work with the most advanced desktop operating system in the world, macOS Big Sur. With a giant leap in performance per watt, every Mac with M1 is transformed into a completely different class of product. This isn’t an upgrade. It’s a breakthrough.
