The Strange Planet webcomics and books feature blue aliens in an Earth-like planet universe in pink, blue, green, and purple. The aliens describe their Earth-like activities in endearing ways. Looking at the art style of the webcomic, it will be cool to see how it is animated.

As reported by The Hollywood Reporter, the series will have ten episodes and will be produced by ShadowMachine, the same company behind the critically acclaimed animated series BoJack Horseman and Final Space. Alex Bulkley and Corey Campodonico will executive produce alongside Steve Levy and Pyle’s wife, Taylor Alexy Pyle.

The series will tell profound and heartfelt stories about beings on a distant planet not unlike our own. Amalia Levari will serve as showrunner on the whimsical comedy. Dan Harmon (Rick and Morty, Community) will be credited as a co-creator alongside Pyle on the series. The duo will exec produce alongside Levari.

Currently, we do not know when the series will be released on the streaming service but it will require an Apple TV+ subscription. For $4.99 per month, Apple TV+ is available on iPhone, iPad, iPod touch, Mac, Apple TV via the Apple TV app. The app is also compatible with selected Samsung and LG smart TVs, Roku devices, Amazon Fire TV.
