The new iPhone 14 series is expected to debut in September this year and rumor mills claim that iPhone 14 Pro models will feature a redesigned display with a pill + hole notch and thinner bezels. Now, a display analyst, Ross Young reports that the displays of iPhone 14 Pro models will be slightly larger than iPhone 13 Pro models.
After introducing the notch in the iPhone X series in 2017, it is claimed that the tech giant will introduce a major upgrade to iPhone display in the upcoming iPhone 14 series. However, Apple will only feature a new compact pill + hole in iPhone 14 Pro models and the iPhone 14 base models will feature the same notch like the iPhone 13 series, reportedly.

Previously, alleged CADs of the iPhone 14 Pro models reveal they will feature a “pill+hole” notch and 20% thinner bezels than the current iPhone 13 Pro models. Although it had been reported that Pro models will feature taller screens, their sizes were not known.
In a tweet, Young shared the exact measurements of iPhone 14 Pro models’ displays. In comparison to iPhone 13 Pro models, the display sizes of iPhone 14 Pro models are larger by hundredths of a millimeter. Young also explained that the smartphones’ smaller notch and thinner bezels increase the screen real estate.

Sources also claim that the upcoming iPhone 14 series will be powered by an advanced A16 Bionic chip, and the Pro models will feature an upgraded camera system with a 48MP camera with a 21% larger wide lens housed in a large camera module, and faster USB 3.0 Lightning connector.
It is also reported that Apple will discontinue the 5.4-inch iPhone mini model and the upcoming iPhone 14 series will offer all four models with large screens:

- iPhone 14 Pro – 6.1-inches
