Launched in 2014, the iPad mini 3 is now listed as an obsolete product after eight years. This means the iPad mini 3 is no longer eligible for repairs by Apple-authorized service providers, worldwide.
In February 2021, Apple added iPhone 6 Plus to the list of vintage products and the iPad 4 to the list of obsolete products. In December 2022, it was reported that Apple had notified service providers that all iPad Mini 3 models, Wi-Fi and Cellular, would be listed as obsolete.

Starting from $399, the tablet was available in Wi-Fi and Cellular option and came in 16GB, 64GB, and 128GB storage options.
