Apple is coming out with a new original show ‘Dear’ on June 5 on Apple TV+. The format of the show celebrates mentors from all walks of life, shapes, sizes, and color by reading letter to express how they positively impacts lives. Directed by Emmy winning filmmaker, R.J. Cutler the new series showcases how one person can change the lives of so many.
The tag line of the Dear reads:
One person’s story can change the world.
Starring Spike Lee, Lin-Manual Miranda, Stevie Wonder, Oprah Winfrey, Gloria Steinem, Big Bird, Jane Goodall, Aly Raisman, Yara Shahidi, and Misty Copeland, the series will release on Apple Tv app and Apple Tv+subscription. All the 10 episodes of the new Dear series will debut together.

The official trailer of ‘Dear’ is a beautiful and heart warming compilation of the aforementioned role models reading letters of gratitude from the people whom they have inspired and of thanks for the confidence, self-belief and dedication to work for what they want to achieve and who they want to be.
In the current situation after the horrifying death of George Floyd and other black men and women before him, this series is needed more than ever to give people role models with a message of unity, love, and positivity through their actions. The Black Live Matter movement calls for equality and end of racism which is a divisive evil threatening the peace and harmony of the human society.
