unc0ver 6.1.2 features fixes for reboots and crashes on iOS 14

unc0ver 6.0.0 was released back in February with support for iOS 14.3, thanks to its use of CVE-2021-1782 vulnerability. This security flaw opened up all devices that run iOS 14, including the latest A14 chip-powered iPhone and iPad models. Apple later patched the security flaw in iOS 14.4, however, if you are still on iOS 14.3, you can upgrade to unc0ver 6.0.0, to take advantage of additional stability improvements and the new safety feature.

Here is the complete changelog from the developers for unc0ver 6.1.2:

  • Fix a cause of random reboots on iOS14
  • Fix a cause of jetsam events on iOS14
  • Fix a cause of processes being killed(9) on iOS14, particularly dpkg postinst etc
  • Increase compatibility with signing services
  • Introduce a new safety feature to preserve stock files from modification by packages
