To protect the exterior and display from accidental damage, Apple has used 4 times more durable glass, the Ceramic Shield front cover in the new iPhone 12. The designed with new high-temperature crystallization technology, the new front cover grows nano-ceramic crystals within the glass matrix, increases drop performance by 4 times. This means that the new smartphone has 4times better durability than the iPhone 11 to absorb cracks.
The Ceramic Shield is made with cutting edge technology and materials:
- Nanoscale ceramic crystals are harder than most metals used in glass.
