Leaked ‘iPhone 12 Pro Max’ screenshots unofficially confirm LiDAR and hint at 120Hz display

As the launch date of Apple’s new iPhone 12 series inches closer, more and more leaks are coming out with all sorts of alleged information and details of the smartphone. Recently, a notable leaker has strengthened this possibility, exciting prospective customers across the internet. Previously, reports claimed that Apple killed was a high refresh rate display.

In July, @EverythingApplePro another Apple leaks account shared that new iPhone 12 high-end models will ship with 120Hz display and the two base models will have 60Hz display. If true, the new display refresh rates on the new smartphone models will enhance user experience.

iPhone 12 to Ship with 120Hz Refresh Rate

The latest iPhone 12 leak comes from @Jon_Prosser who has an impressive track record. Prosser’s shared a screenshot and short hands-on videos which show that the new iPhone 12 Pro Max will feature the 120Hz refresh rate display after all. This news comes shortly after recent reports, claiming that the iPhone 12 Pro would not have a high-quality display because of disruption in the supply chain due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

In the alleged screenshot of the Camera app, the settings menu features an “Enable Camera Features” toggle and a toggle for ‘Enable LiDAR CA’ feature. Other Camera features are enhanced night mode, advanced noise reduction, Bit depth video recording, zoom capabilities, and other video modes.

The second screenshot above confirms that this test production device has a 120Hz refresh rate, these aren’t technically final production devices, so it is still possible that Apple could drop the feature in the end. iPhone 12

To substantiate his claims, Prosser has a video proof for us of a PVT device with the alleged features. Interestingly, the Pro Max model of the new series in the video reveals the size of the notch.
