Harrison Ford to play a behavioral therapy specialist in the Apple TV+ comedy series “Shrinking”
According to 9to5Mac, Ford will play the role of Dr. Phil Rhodes, a specialist in cognitive behavioral therapy in the new “Shrinking” series. The story of the show revolves around the life of a grieving therapist who becomes “brutally” honest with his clients to change their lives and his own for the better.
“Shrinking” follows a grieving therapist (played by Segel) who starts to break the rules and tell his clients exactly what he thinks. Ignoring his training and ethics, he finds himself making huge, tumultuous changes to people’s lives … including his own.
The new series is expected to premiere in 2023 as Goldstein and Lawrance are currently busy with their other projects for Apple TV+, Ted Lasso, and Bad Monkey respectively.
Apple TV+ is joined by several A-listers like Nicole Kidman in “Roar”, Samuel L Jackson in “The Last Days of Ptolemy Grey”, Jennifer Aniston in “The Morning Show”, Brad Pitt in the new Formula One racing movie, Chris Evans in “Defending Jacob”, Will Ferrel and Paul Rudd ‘The Shrink Next Door’, and many more.
The series will join a growing offering of hit and award-winning comedy series on Apple TV+ including “Schmigadoon!,” “Physical,” “Dickinson,” “Mythic Quest,” “Central Park” and the upcoming limited series, “The Shrink Next Door.”
