macOS Ventura, iOS 16, watchOS 9 and tvOS 16 official release date confirmed by Apple

Apple has confirmed that the final versions of iOS 16, watchOS 9, and tvOS 16 will be released to all users on September 12, Monday. The company had previously confirmed that iPadOS 16 has been delayed by a month, and is expected to release sometime in October to all users, alongside macOS Ventura.

When is Apple releasing iOS 16 and macOS Ventura final versions?

During Apple’s “Far Out” event, the company confirmed that the major software updates for iPhone, Apple Watch, and Apple TV will be released on September 12. This has also been mentioned in the footnotes of Apple’s newsroom updates for the new products that were launched yesterday. You can check our coverage of the new iPhone and Apple Watch models here:

After the event, Apple also seeded iOS 16 release candidatetvOS 16 release candidate, and watchOS 9 release candidate to developers. This is usually the last build before the public version is released to all uses, however, in certain situations, Apple has been known to seed a second release candidate too.

It is important to note that Apple has yet to seed a release candidate for macOS Ventura. Apple has not released any update after macOS Ventura beta 6. macOS Ventura will also release something in October.
