Apple has released watchOS 27.2 beta 2, tvOS 27.2 beta 2, and visionOS 27.2 beta 2 to developers. The betas come one week after the first ones were released last week. Registered developers can download the betas through the Settings app on each device.
watchOS 27.2 is where Apple tests the new Health app on Apple Watch
With iOS 27.2 and watchOS 27.2, Apple is testing the redesigned Health app it showed at its September iPhone event. The app has new Insights and Longevity tabs, plus a readiness score that uses data from Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4. The score draws on recent activity, vitals, and sleep score to help you decide between a recovery day and a harder workout.
Two more Apple Intelligence features are planned for Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 later this year.
- Live Rewind, which transcribes the last 15 seconds of speech after you double-press the Digital Crown.
- Siri Recap, which turns conversations from your day into short notes.

tvOS 27.2 and visionOS 27.2 arrive with no announced changes
There is no word on what Apple is adding to tvOS 27.2 or visionOS 27.2. A new Apple TV 4K with Siri AI support is expected before the end of the year, and code evidence points to an A19 or A19 Pro chip with 8GB or 12GB of RAM. The current 2022 model has an A15 Bionic chip and 4GB of RAM.
These are quiet point beta releases, and the Health app is the only headline feature for Apple Watch. Our advice for Apple Watch Series 12 and Apple Watch Ultra 4 owners is to wait for the public release, since the watch you use for workouts and health tracking is a poor place for beta software.
