Download iOS 17.0.1 and iPadOS 17.0.1 firmware files

Download iOS 17.0.1 and iPadOS 17.0,1 firmware IPSW files for your iPhone or iPad. These firmware files are available to be downloaded directly from Apple’s servers and can be used to perform a clean installation on an iPhone or iPad, or to manually restore it.

Apple released iOS 17.0.1 and iPadOS 17.0.1 today with several important security fixes. iOS 17 and iPadOS 17 were just released earlier this week with updates to Health, Widgets, Messages, FaceTime, and other apps. Other new features include a new StandBy mode and Journal app for iPhone (delayed to a future update), new emoji, NameDrop, Live Voicemail, Check In, Health app for iPad, and Contact Posters for the Phone app.

These firmware files are available in IPSW format to download from Apple’s servers. Just make sure you download the right file for your iPhone or iPad, so you can use it in Mac (Finder) or Windows (iTunes) to do any of the following:

Manually upgrade your device (if your Internet is not stable or fast enough)
Downgrade your device (as long as Apple continues to sign this software update).
Manually restore your device
Clean install iOS or iPadOS on your device

Note that there is no download available as of now for the iPhone models which will be generally available from tomorrow onwards. It is expected that they will ship with iOS 17.0.2.
